North Annapurna Basecamp Trek

North Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Overview

The North Annapurna Base Camp (NABC) Trek is an off-the-beaten-path trekking route in the Annapurna region. Unlike the traditional Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek, which approaches from the south, the North ABC Trek offers a unique perspective of Annapurna I (8,091m) and its surrounding peaks from the northern side. This trek typically starts from Lete, a village known for gateway of Kaligandaki valley, and follows remote trails through picturesque villages, lush forests, and rugged high-altitude terrain.

Trek Highlights

? Less Crowded Route – Unlike the traditional ABC trek, the northern approach is more remote and peaceful.
? Breathtaking Views – Close-up views of Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, and Tukuche Peak.
? Diverse Landscapes – Walk through subtropical forests, alpine meadows, and glacial moraines.
? Natural Hot Springs – Enjoy a warm bath in Tatopani to relax before the trek.
? Cultural Experience – Interact with Gurung, Thakali, and Magar communities along the route.
? Glacier & Icefall Views – Get a close-up experience of the Annapurna Glacier and surrounding icefalls.
